Power

Power… Lord, my husband and I have been studying into Harry Potter, and it’s all about witchcraft (false teachers promising and teaching about false power, demonic power).  The little children are into it because they say it gives them more “power” than Christianity.  Oh, so sad, for I know Your Word says that You are the Spirit of Power:

Isaiah 11:1-3 – A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.  The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the Spirit of Wisdom and of Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and of Power, the Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of the Lord, and he will delight in the Fear of the Lord.

Lord, how are we to know we have been anointed with Power?  How are we to know we are operating in Power?

The Spirit of The Lord:  Do you need evidence?  Do you need signs and wonders?  I told you (all) not to seek a sign.  Just like a grandmother that prayers for a grandchild she may never get to see, and that grandchild grows up to be a mighty warrior, a mighty king for the Lord, just like that, you (all) are to go forth, operating under the Anointment of Power and Prayer.  And you may not know exactly what your prayers have accomplished until years later, you may not know (see a sign) until “Thy Kingdom Comes”.

Self:  Ok…  Let’s go back to the original question then. How are we to know we are operating in Power?  You just equated Power with Prayer, why?

The Spirit of The Lord:  Here’s the outline:  I’ll let the Holy Spirit help you pull in the Supporting Bible Verses:

POWER:

(1)   Acknowledges God (Loves the Lord Thy God)

(2)   Blesses Others (Loves others as thyself)

(3)   Prays in Agreement (Prays to the Glory of God and the Good of the People)

Self:  Supporting Bible Verses:

Matthew 22:37-39 – Jesus replied:  Love the Lord your God with all you heart and with all you soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  “Love your neighbor as yourself”.

Therefore Lord, what I hear You saying is that the “third greatest commandment” is to Pray.   Correct?

The Spirit of The Lord:  Yes my child.  This is how we cast out demons.  Power and Prayer is all about casting out demons and “filling up houses, mansions” with Blessings, instead of curses.

(1) POWER ACKNOWLEDGES GOD:

1 John 4:1-3 – Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets (time wasters) have gone out into the world.  This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God:  Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.  This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

Proverbs 3:5-7 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways (in all that you want, think, see, say or do) acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.  Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.

(2) POWER BLESSES OTHERS:

Mark 11:24-26 – Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received (it is finished), and it will be yours.  And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

Self:  That’s a strange verses for Blessing Others… why this verse?

The Spirit of The Lord:  It’s the key memory verse, because you (all) cannot pray for and Bless others until your hearts are rightly related to the dilemma of fallen souls.  You have to first believe in your heart (Acknowledge God) and then forgive others (Bless Others), for that’s the Greatest Blessing I have given unto man, forgiveness (through the Blood of My Son).  Then, I will hear your cries (your prayers), then I will answer you, then I will provide for you, then I will free you, then I will rescue you and all of those you pray for, In Jesus Name.

(3) POWER PRAYS IN AGREEMENT:

James 5:13-16 – Is any one of you in trouble?  He should pray.  Is anyone happy?  Let him sing songs of praise. Is anyone of you sick?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.  If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.  Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

The Spirit of The Lord:  Always pray that others Confess their sins and Repent, and come back into a right relationship, a powerful and honest dialog with ME Their Lord, for I want all my children to come home, now.  And that begins with them acknowledging Me and talking to Me (through you, and you, and you…) about everything.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 – I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

James 5:19-20 – My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

BLESSINGS!!!
